<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a train information management system and method that can reduce burden of crew on the occurrence of vehicle breakdowns. <P>SOLUTION: The train information management system includes: a train information management device 2; an onboard side information transmission and reception device 5 which is connected to the train information management device 2 through an onboard network transmission line 6, and transmits the train information transmitted from the train information management device 2 to a ground side by radio communication; a ground side information transmission and receiving device which receives train information transmitted from the onboard side information transmission and receiving device 5; and a disposition procedure management server which is connected with the ground side information transmission and receiving device through a ground network transmission line, and transmits a failure disposition manual corresponding to the failure code to the train information management device 2, when receiving the failure code contained in the train information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
