<p>The decorative article having a surface, comprises a reflective layer on which a transparent layer (77) or a semi-transparent layer (74) and an absorbent layer (78) of ferric oxide are superimposed by providing a predetermined color to the surface. The transparent layer or semi-transparent layer has a thickness of 1000 nm, and interposed between the reflective layer and the absorbent layer. The transparent or semi-transparent layer, the reflective layer and the absorbent layer are laid by physical vapor deposition process including sputtering.
