PURPOSE: An electrical furnace is provided to save energy since high-density carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide from a closed electrical furnace is used for pre-reduction or pre-heating. CONSTITUTION: An electrical furnace comprises a body(10), a cover(20), electrode units(100), a closing unit. The top of the body is opened. The cover opens and closes the opened top of the body. The cover comprises through holes(26). The electrode units are inserted into the body through the through holes of the cover. The closing unit is installed adjacently to the through hole of the cover. The closing unit closes the gap between the electrode unit and the through hole. The closing unit comprises an air curtain nozzle and an O-ring shape of a dual seal. The air curtain nozzle is arranged on the top of the cover along the through hole in a ring shape.
