HUB BEARING TEST METHOD

PURPOSE: A hub bearing inspecting method is provided to prevent increase in noise, decrease in fuel efficiency, non-operation due to the failure of a hub bearing by easily recognizing the state of the hub bearing. CONSTITUTION: A hub bearing inspecting method is as follows. An acceleration signal and a rotating speed signal on a hub bearing are collected(204). The root mean square of the acceleration signal collected is calculated, and it is checked whether or not the root mean square is less than 1(208). If not, the acceleration signal is differentiated(210). After an envelope function on the differentiated signal is derived(212), the power spectrum of the envelope function is calculated to obtain the frequency distribution depending on the wheel's rotating speed collected(214). The maximum energy value corresponding to reference frequency is derived from the frequency distribution obtained(216).
