<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating castable refractory in which high strength is achieved, and also, upon the achievement of the high strength, heat insulating properties are made hard to be sacrificed. <P>SOLUTION: The heat insulating castable refractory includes: a refractory powder composition where, in the coarse grain region with a grain size of ≥1 mm, porous heat insulating aggregate essentially consisting of CaO-6Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>is blended in ≥65 mass% at a ratio occupied in 100 mass% of the coarse grain region, in the fine grain region with a grain size of <75 μm, an alumina raw material and alumina cement are blended by ≥65 mass% in total at a ratio occupied in 100 mass% of the fine grain region, and the chemical component constitution of the fine grain region satisfies the condition that the mass ratio of CaO/Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>=0.03 to 0.13; and operation water in an amount of 30 to 50 mass% to 100 mass% of the refractory powder composition in external multiplication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
