PURPOSE: A solar battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to arrange a movement path of electrons using carbon atoms in the interface between a silicon substrate and metal, thereby reducing ohmic contact barrier. CONSTITUTION: A low-density doping layer is arranged within the front surface of a substrate(10). A carbon doping layer is arranged in the front surface of the substrate. A front surface electrode(35) touches with the carbon doping layer. A rear surface electrode(37) touches with at least a part of the rear surface of the substrate. A high-density doping region is selectively arranged within a part of the front surface of the substrate.
