<p>The device has a heatable element provided on a substrate and connected with two electrical contacts (6) at a power supply. A surface of a reflecting mirror element to be defrosted is divided into two regions (3, 5) that are subjected with different amount of heat or different temporal heating process. A sign in one of the regions is represented on the surface of the reflecting mirror element, where the device is electrically insulated via an adhesive or an insulating paint.
