Device for applying glue and method for cleaning same

The device (1) has a nozzle unit (4) with glue outlet openings (6) and glue supply lines (11) that are selectively supplied with glue by glue valves (8). Glue lines (10) introduce the glue from a glue chamber (9) to the valves. The supply lines are supplied with cleaning fluid i.e. water, via a connection. A fluid chamber (13) is provided independent of the glue chamber and supplies the fluid. Fluid lines (12) are discharged in the glue lines or the glue supply lines. A non-return valve (15) is associated to each fluid line. A spring supports a closing function in the non-return valve. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a device for applying glue on regions of paper and plastic webs or paper and plastic web sections.
