PURPOSE: A system for recognizing online handwriting and method thereof are provided to improve the access of web search services by integrating online recognition of characters and words to a search query input/support function. CONSTITUTION: A graphic receiving module(4100) receives data including graphic expressions for interworking the UI(User Interface) of a user device. A graphic character recognizing module(4200) analyzes the graphic expressions and selects a graphic character. A graphic character transmitting module(4300) transmits the graphic character to a user. A graphic character selection receiving module(4400) receives the display of the graphic character. A search term recognizing module(4600) recognizes the search terms. A search term selection receiving module(4700) receives the selection of the search terms.
