PURPOSE: A device and a method for supporting mobility in a wireless communication system are provided to minimize service disconnection while moving to a macro cell from a picocell. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit(1606) stores the system information of a first base station which is in charge of the first cell if it performs handover from a first cell to a second cell. A control unit(1608) receives system information which is changed to the first base station from a second base station which is in charge of a second cell. The control unit updates the system information by using the changed system information. If the RLF(Radio Link Failure) is generated form the second cell, the control unit performs reconnection to the first base station by using the system information.
