PURPOSE: A hexagonal structure and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to form hexagonal structures in various shapes by adjusting the pH value of a cultivating solution or an erosion solution. CONSTITUTION: A seed layer(110) is formed on a substrate(100). Zinc oxide-based crystalline rods(130) are formed on the upper side of the seed layer and are vertically oriented from the substrate. The seed layer is formed using a first solution and a second solution through a sol-gel synthesizing method. The first solution is obtained by dissolving hydrate containing zinc salt in a solvent. The second solution is obtained by introducing a surfactant into the first solution in a sol state. A growth inducing layer is formed on the upper side of the seed layer. The crystalline rods are formed the seed layer which is opened by the growth inducing layer.
