LASER CLEANING DEVICE OF ELECTRODE TAB FOR BATTERY AND LASER CLEANING METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A laser cleaning device of an electrode tab for a battery and a laser cleaning method using the same are provided to use heat of a laser beam, thereby vaporizing an electrolyte attached to the electrode tab. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning housing(10) includes a battery case which includes an electrode group, an electrolyte, and an electrode tab. A laser generating unit(20) comprises an output controller which controls output of a laser beam and a laser source which generates a laser beam. A laser transferring unit(30) transfers a laser beam generated by the laser generating unit. A laser output unit(40) is installed in the cleaning housing. The laser output unit applies a laser beam to the electrode tab to eliminate a contaminant attached to the electrode tab. The laser source generates a Nd:YAG pulse laser. The energy per a pulse of the Nd:YAG pulse laser is from 14J to 34J.
