CONTINUOUS SLAB HAVING EDGE SHAPE FOR PREVENTING EDGE CRACK

PURPOSE: A continuous casting piece with a corner shaped to prevent edge cracks is provided to enhance the distribution of an iron manufacturing system since a process of controlling width rolling to prevent existing edge cracks is omitted. CONSTITUTION: A continuous casting piece with a corner shaped to prevent edge cracks has a square cross section and a chamber unit(120) is formed every corner(110) of the casting piece. The shape and size of the chamber unit is determined in proportion to the size of the cross section of a slab(S) or the width processed level of the casting piece. The shape and size of the chamfer unit are determined by a horizontal variable(ΔW) and a vertical variable(ΔH). The horizontal variable is determined according to the width from each corner to the chamber unit along the width of the square cross section.
