WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE

PURPOSE: A webbing retracting device is provided to enable an insertion piece to be properly inserted into an insertion hole since pressure applied to the insertion piece of a stopper does not push the insertion piece out of the insertion hole. CONSTITUTION: A webbing retracting device comprises an adapter(70), and a stopper(100). Side walls(84,86) of the insertion hole(82) of the adapter presses the insertion piece(104) of the stopper with the pressure of a spiral spring(74). The surface of the side wall is parallel to a virtual line(L1) passing through the central part of the adapter and is located on the virtual line. A direction of pressing the insertion piece of the stopper by the surface of the side wall corresponds to the opposite direction of the side walls. The direction of the pressure is not inclined toward the outside of a radial direction.
