PURPOSE: A transparent plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof is provided to improve transmittance of a transparent PDP by applying an SiO2 transparent dielectric layer to the transparent PDP. CONSTITUTION: A transparent electrode is formed on an upper part of a front surface of a glass substrate. An SiO2 transparent dielectric layer(330) is formed by coating a sol-gel type SiO2 solution on the upper part of the front surface of the glass substrate. A transparent barrier rib(340) is formed on an upper part of the SiO2 transparent dielectric layer. A transparent phosphor layer(350) is formed by coating a transparent phosphor material on a cell region formed by the transparent barrier ribs. A protective layer(390) is formed on the upper part of the SiO2 transparent dielectric layer. |
