PURPOSE: A webbing winding machine is provided to improve the intensity of a receiving chamber and a spool because the axial outer sides of the receiving chamber and the spool are closed. CONSTITUTION: A webbing winding machine comprises a receiving chamber(42) and a locking plate. The receiving chamber is integrally installed in the axial end of a spool(20) and is opened toward the outer side of the spool. The locking plate is accepted in the receiving chamber. When the lateral side(43) of the receiving chamber is locked on the locking plate, the rotation of the spool in a drawing direction is restricted.
