Disclosed are flavor particles and a granular detergent composition both of which can exhibit a highly stable flavor even when the flavor particles and the granular detergent composition are stored for a long period, and which can impart a long-lasting flavor to a material after the material is washed with the products. Granules each of which comprises an encapsulated flavor comprising a polymeric compound and a flavor encapsulated in the polymeric compound and a neutral inorganic salt are coated with a fatty acid salt. The fatty acid salt preferably has a C10-18 carbon chain. The polymeric compound is preferably at least one component selected from a group consisting of a polyacrylic acid ester polymer, a melamine polymer and a urethane polymer.
