<p>PURPOSE: A ceramic composition for manufacturing lightweight ceramics based on ashes from cow excrements and the lightweight ceramics are provided to apply a lightweight characteristic, the superior plasticity, porosity, flexural strength, and hot strength under load characteristic to the ceramics. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic composition for manufacturing lightweight ceramics includes ashes from cow excrements and ceramic raw materials. The ceramic raw materials are composed of clay, kaolin, and pottery stone. The ceramic composition includes 8-20 weight% of the ashes from cow excrements, 30-45 weight% of clay, 30-45 weight% of kaolin, and 10-20 weight% of pottery stone. The ashes from cow excrements are mixed with the ceramic raw materials. The mixture is shaped. The shaped body is sintered at a temperature between 1200 and 1400 degrees Celsius.</p> |
