METHOD FOR PRODUCING RED GINSENG USING 9-TIMES STEAMED AND DRIED

PURPOSE: A producing method of red ginseng steamed and dried for 9 times is provided to maximize the content of saponin(ginsenoside RG3) by repeating an operation process of a pressure-less type steamer. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of red ginseng steamed and dried for 9 times comprises the following steps: firstly drying fresh ginseng until 5-10wt% of moisture of the ginseng is reduced; firstly steaming the dried ginseng at 85-95 deg C, and drying until 80-90wt% of moisture of the ginseng is reduced; and repeating the previous step for 8 times.
