PURPOSE: A novel disease resistant Capsicum annuum xyloglucanase inhibitor protein (CaXEGIP1) gene is provided to produce a transgenic plant. CONSTITUTION: A gene encoding Capsicum annuum xyloglucanase inhibitor protein 1(CaXEGIP1) contains a gene encoding a protein having an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2; or a base sequence of sequence number 1. The protein(CaXEGIP1) has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. A recombinant vector pBIN35S:CaXEGIP1, pTA7002:CaXEGIP1, or pTRV2:CaXEGIP1 contains CaXEGIP1 gene.
