PURPOSE: A detachable filter sterilizing apparatus is provided to facilitate the replacing process of a filter and to efficiently sterilize the filter based on ultraviolet rays without the damage of the filter. CONSTITUTION: A filter sterilizing apparatus(100) includes a controlling module, an ultraviolet lamp(108), and an ion generating needle(116). The controlling module, which is composed of a power supplying part(102), a timer(104), a stabilizer(106), and an ion generating unit, is located in the inner space of an air purifier and controls the supply of power, the irradiation time of the ultraviolet lamp, and the generation of ions. The ultraviolet lamp is installed at the lateral side of a front part case(120) and irradiates ultraviolet rays to the front part of a filter. The ion generating needle generates ions and electrically fixes bacteria to the filter.
