SOLAR CELL HAVING NANOWIRE STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: The solar battery of a nanowire structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to multiply a p-n junction area by including a p-n junction layer which includes a nanowire. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of nanowires is perpendicularly formed on a bottom electrode and is doped to a first impurity. A coating layer(140) surrounds the circumference of the nanowires and is doped to a second impurity which has an opposite polarity with the first impurity and forms the nanowire and a p-n junction. A transparent electrode(150) is formed on the coating layer. A hole in which nanowire is formed on the bottom electrode is formed in a oxide film template(120). The oxide film template prevents the coating layer from contacting with the bottom electrode.
