PURPOSE: A device and a method for separating lead of a mechanical pencil are provided to automatically separate short sharp lead which is broken in a transfer step. CONSTITUTION: A device for separating lead of a mechanical pencil comprises a pair of fixed saw blade parts(100) and a pair of driving saw blade part(200). Multiple first saw blades of a pair of fixed saw blade parts is formed along the traveling direction of the sharp lead. The driving saw blade part is vertically transferred to the fixed saw blade part. Multiple second saw blades of the driving saw blade part are formed along the traveling direction of the sharp lead. The sharp lead, loaded in the first saw blade, is transmitted by the first and second saw blades. |
