PURPOSE: An asynchronous serial interface switcher for a digital advertisement inserter is provided to insert advertisement data without decoding the digital broadcasting data to audio/video. CONSTITUTION: At least two or more TS-Demuxes(421,422,423) extracts a video stream, an audio stream, and control information from a TS(Transport Stream). A connection unit(430) divides the extracted video stream and audio stream into the video stream and audio stream with a preset size. A control information generator(436,437) generates control information about the divided video stream and audio stream from the extracted control information.
