The method involves randomly positioning a determined number of humidity sensors in an environment, and measuring humidity by using each humidity sensor. Variation in a humidity space in vicinity of the sensor is determined for each sensor, and a predetermined number of sensors for which the space variation of humidity in the vicinity of the sensor is low, is selected. The selected sensors are selected from the sensors issued from the selection process of predetermined number of sensors for which an absolute value of the humidity is high. An independent claim is also included for a method for regulating humidity of an environment.
