The seat has a backrest (17) movable in rotation on a base around an axis located at an intersection of an edge of the backrest and the base between a raised position and a folded position. The edge of the backrest opposite to the axis of rotation forms a flange (31) that is projected with respect to an average plane of a rear face (21) of the backrest. The flange is oriented toward the top of the vehicle when the backrest is folded, where the flange includes a slot. The slot is formed with an opening (35) of trapezoid shape.
