The media (4) have a quencher compound e.g. organic volatile compound such as acetoacetamide, provided in air and included with an amino group, where the media are placed upstream of a photocatalytic action (PCO) filter of a purifier (1). The purifier controls passage of the air to be purified and placed in a loop allowing treatment of trapped air in a room. A mineral fiber structure is made of silica or glass or metal or ceramics for supporting the quencher compound. A material is formed with photocatalytic action. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning air that is forced to pass through a purifier.
