PURPOSE: A 40MM practice ammunition is provided to prevent an accident by allowing a detent to accurately restrict the movement of a firing pin when the practice ammunition is carried. CONSTITUTION: A 40MM practice ammunition comprises an empty cartridge assembly(100), a skirt(200), a safety device assembly(300), an explosion pipe(400), a smoke bomb body(500), and an ogive(600). The empty cartridge assembly comprises a detonator and a detonator housing. The bottom of the skirt is inserted into the empty cartridge assembly. The safety device assembly is composed of a detent cover(310), a detent(320), and an ignition cap(330). A part of a firing pin(10) is inserted into a mounting groove of the detent cover. The detent, an ignition detonator(20), and a washer(30) are successively inserted into a stepped groove of the ignition cap. The explosion pipe is filled with explosives. The smoke bomb body is filled with smoke generating agents. The ogive is inserted into the top of the skirt.
