SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a video signal for more precisely estimating the motion appearing in each frame of an input video signal, without affecting the image quality of an output video.

SOLUTION: A signal processing apparatus comprises: a measured value acquisition unit which acquires a measured value on a feature amount which affects estimation of the motion appearing in each frame of the input video signal; a determination unit which determines the characteristics of a filter which has to be applied to the input video signal on the basis of the measured value acquired by the measured value acquisition unit; and a filtering unit which applies a filter having the characteristics determined by the determination unit to the input video signal, thereby generating the video signal to be used for the estimation of the motion.
