INFORMATION ACCESS UNIT, INFORMATION ACCESS METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information access unit which can allow for easy access to desired information without much trouble while grasping the whole picture of the information.

SOLUTION: An information access unit comprises: a map display means (16) to display a map with its own terminal (6) at the center; a map range setting means (15) to set the range of the map; an external information extraction means (10) to extract external information positioned in the range of the map; a first display control means (12) to compose indexes to indicate the external information on the map and display them on the display part (16); access means (10, 12) to access to the external information corresponding to a selected index when one of the displayed indexes is selected; a second display control means (12) to display on the display part a menu screen to access to the inner information when the range of the map is in a prescribed range.
