摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus including a focusing optical system that is capable of highly accurately reading image information in such a manner that, even when a shift of a rotary asymmetric lens occurs in a sub-scanning direction, the shift is effectively adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: In an image reading apparatus including plural mirrors 4a to 4e that have rotary asymmetric optical surfaces and that reflect light flux from light means for emitting the light flux for illuminating an original sheet 1 placed on an original table 2, a focusing optical system 5 that focuses image information on the original sheet with the reflected light flux, and a unit accommodating, in a carriage 7, a photoelectric conversion element in which plural pixel readers that convert an optical image focused by the focusing optical system into an electric signal are arranged in a main scanning direction, an angle and position at which the focusing optical system is attached in a sub-scanning direction are adjusted by adjusting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
