<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice reading device which enables prompt access to desired information when sentences are read out, does not require a user to listen from the beginning when he wants to listen to the same information repeatedly, and allows the user to recognize which part of the whole text is now being read. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 105 counts the number of characters in text data TD, separates the text data into paragraphs by a preset number of characters, stores a head position of each paragraph as an index in a storage section 106, allocates sound data MD having regularity (sound data which recalls an order such as sound of do-re-mi) to each index, stores the sound data in the storage section 106, and plays the sound data MD corresponding to an index when the index of a paragraph of the text data TD is specified by an input operation of a user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
