<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tiller capable of efficiently performing work for discharging lubricant oil in a gear case by facilitating the demounting of a drain plug mounted to a discharge port, in the rotary tiller disposed with the gear case at the upper face side of the front end of a main cover covering the upper side of tilling tines, and provided with a front cover having an upper side located close to a discharge port in the lower part of the gear case, at the front side of the main cover. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary tiller includes: the main cover 21 covering the upper face side of a rotary; the gear case 13 equipped with a gear mechanism therein, installed at the upper face side of the front end of the main cover 21; the front cover 22 on the front side of the main cover 21; the discharge port 48 for discharging the lubricant oil in the gear case 13, formed at the lower part of the gear case 13; and the drain plug 52 mounted on the discharge port 48.
