The body i.e. motor car door (1), has a slot-shaped opening (4) arranged at a lower side (3) of the hollow body, which is partially filled with a corrosion protection material i.e. corrosion protection wax (5). An edge of the opening is designed as a collar (6) projecting into a cavity (2) of the hollow body in a cylindrical or frusto-conical shape. Height of the collar corresponds to a predetermined level of the protection material. The opening includes a circular cross-section, and is designed as a drainage hole and/or an insertion opening for the protection material. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a corrosion proof motor car hollow body.
