PURPOSE: A method for isolating membrane proteins of gram-positive bacteria is provided to quickly and simply isolate the membrane proteins. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating membrane proteins of gram-positive bacteria comprises: a step of crushing cells of gram-positive bacteria to prepare a supernatant; and a step of centrifuging the supernatant to collect membrane proteins. The method further comprises a step of adding sodium carbonate to the supernatant to precipitate proteins. The membrane protein contains multiple transmembrane domains.
