<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the light use efficiency change in a display device having an edge-light type LED backlight system. <P>SOLUTION: Multiple LEDs 32 as light emitting elements are arranged so as to be held in a transparent outer package in an LED backlight module 30. The LED backlight module 30 is fixed to a cabinet 50 with biasing/fixing means 60 at a bottom surface thereof. The biasing/fixing means 60 has biasing means 62 at a connection portion with the LED backlight module 30.
