<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stagnation of liquid fuel in the middle of the exhaust pipe of combustion gas generated by a burner. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel stagnation preventing mechanism includes an atomizer 6 disposed in the middle of the exhaust pipe 5b of the combustion gas generated by the burner 2 and atomizing liquid fuel stagnating in the middle of the exhaust pipe 5b by forming a shearing flow in the exhaust pipe 5b. The atomizer 6 comprises a protruded part 6 protruded in the middle of the exhaust pipe 5b. The atomizer 6 is provided to only a lower region in the exhaust pipe 5b. The atomizer 6 has a plurality of grooves dispersing the liquid fuel flowing toward the forming region of the shearing flow in a direction orthogonal to the flowing direction. An engine system includes an oxidation catalyst 3 oxidizing an exhaust gas, a filter 4 catching fine particles included in the exhaust gas passing through the oxidation catalyst 3, and the burner 2 disposed between an internal combustion engine and the oxidation catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
