<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle interior member that employs a covering material having a double-layer structure including an infrared reflecting layer and a design layer that allows infrared to pass therethrough, and furthermore allows the double-layer structure to be made without complexing the manufacturing process and allows the infrared reflecting layer to be formed by using existing shaping dies. <P>SOLUTION: The covering material 7 of an instrument panel 1 includes the infrared reflecting layer 7a which is a lower layer, and the design layer 7b which is an upper layer and is applied onto the infrared reflecting layer 7a and has small thickness. An undulating pattern 7c is formed on an outer surface of the infrared reflecting layer 7a. Since the design layer 7b has small thickness, an undulating pattern 7d that is similar to the undulating pattern 7c formed on the infrared reflecting layer 7a is formed thereon. The design layer 7b contains a black pigment which is transmissive to infrared and incident infrared passes through the design layer 7b and then is reflected by the infrared reflecting layer 7a, and is diffused. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
