<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which reduces a damage of a core by surface pressure from a holding ring, and a method for manufacturing the holding ring of the rotary electric machine with high dimension accuracy in the axial direction, and with high material yield. <P>SOLUTION: In the holding ring 15, rigidity at an end in the axial direction of the holding ring does not become excessive since flange parts 152, 153 are projected at the center part in the axial direction of the outer peripheral surface, the surface pressure to be applied to a steel plate located on the end surface in the axial direction of the core 16 consisting of laminated steel plates is reduced, and buckling of the steel plate is prevented to reduce the damage of the core 16. In addition, when the flange parts 152, 153 function as reinforcement, the rigidity at the center part in the axial direction of the holding ring 15 becomes high, however, since the number of laminated steel plates increases and buckling bearing force rises as going from the end surface in the axial direction of the core 16 to the center part, the buckling of the steel plates is prevented. In addition, since the center of gravity is taken at the center part in the axial direction of the holding ring 15, stability against vibration by disturbance is raised. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
