DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEIVER AND DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEPTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide detailed operation of a transmitter and a receiver capable of reproducing with minimum delay an emergency earthquake report transmitted by digital broadcast.

SOLUTION: This digital broadcast receiver comprises: a broadcast reception unit which receives a transmitted signal transmitted by broadcasting, the signal including a digital broadcast signal and emergency earthquake information; and an emergency earthquake information reception unit which detects the emergency earthquake information from the transmitted signal received by the broadcast reception unit and outputs the same.
