The invention relates to a component (11) comprising a sliding surface (13) which is provided by a sliding layer (12). The invention further relates to a method for electrochemically producing such a component. According to the invention, particles (16) are embedded into the sliding layer (12), and said particles consist of a coating (18), within which a lubricant (17) that is preferably liquid is contained. The component (11) can therefore be used in particular as a backup bearing in order to ensure the emergency operating properties, for example of a shaft that is mounted in a main bearing. When said shaft (14) strikes the bearing surface (13), the coating (18) of the particles (16) that are exposed on the bearing surface (13) are destroyed such that the lubricant (17) can exit. Advantageously, the sliding properties of the sliding surface (13) are thereby improved. |
