<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source with a long life by restraining temperature rise of a temperature-increasing region including an irradiation zone at a light-emitting section irradiated with exciting light and its neighboring zone. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight 1 includes a laser diode 3 for emitting a laser beam, an optical fiber 5 having an incident end 5b for receiving the laser beam emitted from the laser diode 3 and an emitting end 5a for emitting the laser beam incident from the incident end 5b, a light-emitting section 7 for light-emitting by receiving the laser beam emitted from the emitting end 5a, and a cooler 20 and a nozzle 21 for cooling the temperature-increasing region including the irradiation zone at the light-emitting section irradiated with the exciting light and its neighboring zone in the light-emitting section 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
