<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress forward motion of a hip by an airbag by enhancing design flexibility of a shape and height when inflating the airbag which expands in a seating part of a vehicle seat. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device 1 includes: an airbag 10 arranged in the seating part of the vehicle seat, which expands under a seated passenger; and an inflator 2 which expands and develops the airbag 10 by generating gas. The airbag 10 includes a top base cloth 11 and a bottom base cloth 12, connected to each other, dividing an air space 14 inside; and a pair of side clothes 13 arranged in a part of both side parts between the top base cloth 11 and the bottom base cloth 12. An inflation shape of the air space 14 of the airbag 10 is regulated by the pair of side base clothes 13, and when it expands and develops in the seating part, the side base cloth 13 in an arrangement range expands higher than that of a part outside of the arrangement range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
