<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a detection rate and detection accuracy in roughly detecting a touch position, and to allow avoiding increase of manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A thinning-out scan that roughly detects the touch position by selecting transmission electrodes 2a and 2b and reception electrodes 3a and 3b while thinning out the electrodes is performed. This thinning-out scan is made to be sequentially performed by changing the thinned-out electrodes. Especially, both of transmission electrodes 2a and 2b, and reception electrodes 3a and 3b are thinned out, and a thinning-out pattern is made to be different between the transmission electrodes and the reception electrodes in some of a plurality of thinning-out scans sequentially repeated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
