<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron which has good workability, can hold the adhesion of the coating formed in a vaporization chamber, and can exhibit a stable hydrophilic property for a long term. <P>SOLUTION: An iron has a base 3 with a vaporization chamber 6, a tank 10 arranged in the base 3, a nozzle 27 for introducing water, which is liquid, provided from the tank 10 into the vaporization chamber 6. The surface of the vaporization chamber 6 is formed by the application of ITRO-treatment, which provides with good workability.
