<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for detecting a damaged recessed part of a sliding plate on a pantograph through measurement of a trolley wire when a pantograph passes through. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for detecting a local recessed part of a sliding plate on a pantograph includes a potentiometer 30 to measure displacement in the horizontal direction of a trolley wire 1, and a means 35 to process and determine the measured displacement in the horizontal direction. The apparatus measures displacement in the horizontal direction of the trolley wire wherein a behavior changes due to a local recessed part such as stepped wearing, and calculates a standard deviation for a waveform entering a window moving with a certain time width among time history waveforms of measured values, and determines that a local recessed part such as stepped wearing arises on the sliding plate on the pantograph of a train passing through a track under the trolley wire when the standard deviation exceeds a predetermined threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
