<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten display delay of a subject image in a photographing device. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of output data of a photographic sensor for photographing a subject, generation processing of image data indicating the image of the subject is performed. Progress information indicating the progress of the generation processing of the image data is obtained for each line constituted of a plurality of pixels aligned in a direction parallel to a predetermined direction.
