<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation which has satisfactory base stability and is also excellent in a sense of use, particularly, in freshness, softness and a non-creaking feeling after coating. <P>SOLUTION: The skin care preparation comprises: (a) polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene-added phytosterol and/or polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene-added phytostanol shown by general formula (I); and (b) a block type alkylene oxide derivative shown by general formula (II) (in the general formula (I), R denotes a phytosterol residue or a stanol residue; m denotes the number of 5 to 100; and n denotes the number of 5 to 100).
