<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle collision prevention device superior in accuracy and stability. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle collision prevention device for a plurality of vehicles traveling on the same track, respective vehicles are equipped with: a GPS receiving part 9 that receives radio wave from satellites 4 for GPS; GPS position measuring parts 18, 20 that measure the positions of vehicles on the track from the signals received by the GPS receiving part 9; and a radio communication department 6 for mutually exchanging radio communications between vehicles. A preceding vehicle 2 traveling on the track in precedence has a reflection part 7 for laser beam at a rear side in the traveling direction, and a rear vehicle 3 traveling on the track following the preceding vehicle has a laser beam emitting/receiving part 8 that emits laser beam to the traveling direction while receiving a reflection of the laser beam, a control device 10 and an outputting part 19. The control device 10 outputs the result of distance computing on the outputting part 19, when the distance between the vehicles is found to be equal to or greater than a value predetermined in advance, as the distance computing utilizes the GPS position measuring parts 18, 20, while, if it is found to be smaller than the predetermined value, outputs the result of distance computing by the use of the laser beam emitting/receiving part 8 on the outputting part 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
