<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection device for an internal combustion engine which can capture a sign of abnormal combustion, and to provide a control device for the internal combustion engine which can prevent the occurrence of the abnormal combustion based on the captured sign of the abnormal combustion. <P>SOLUTION: In the internal combustion engine with a cylinder pressure sensor, the probability distribution of combustion pressure (hereinafter, probability distribution of detected combustion pressure) is calculated based on the aggregation of the combustion pressure detected by the cylinder pressure sensor during a predetermined load operation. An abnormal combustion sign flag is turned on when the probability of the combustion pressure exceeding an upper-limit confidence value is higher than a threshold in the probability distribution of detected combustion pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
